The hotel is very simple and the continental breakfast means muffins and coffee. Definetely not a 3 stars.
we stayed there a year ago and liked the location, pleasant color of the room, the view outside of our room, the quietness and being close to the ocean walk. So we decided to return and found everything being just as nice.
The Sea Breeze Lodge is relatively inexpensive for the area, it's a clean, well located, motel with nice rooms and friendly staff. We had a wonderful time on the Monterey Peninsula and have already booked our flights for next year!
We like safe neighborhoods, economical lodgings and clean comfortable rooms. The Sea Breeze Lodge had all of these. The staff was also very helpful in answering a number of restaurant and attraction questions. A very nice stay!
When we first checked in, there were two ladies checking-in at the same time, the ladies were obviously upset that there rooms weren't right next to eachother & were extremely rude to the front desk staff, but the girl that checked us in (younger dark haired girl) handled herself very well, & professional to the negative ladies... my boyfriend and I were impressed! It was our first time to Pacific Grove and she recommended a wonderful breakfast place, "Holly's" and it was amazing! We will return again! But next time we will want to be on the side closer to the ocean :) thanks!! - Samantha
I've been to this coast many times and I am always staying at a different location,I had a very pleasant experience.
I liked that it was quiet and private and walking distance to the beach. Also the room was very clean and the bed comfortable tho it was a little high for me-77yrs.
The room was very small and did not allow for any desk/table space. There was no micro or refridge but may have been available.
It always is a nice surprise when a hotel exceeds your expectations. We come to the Monterey Peninsula often and usually get the standard motel. The Sea Breeze has very nice room flourishes and a convenient location all for the same price that you might pay at a lessor property. Very nice.
Great price and an unexpectedly nice room. The location is in a very quiet area but very close to the aquarium and beach.
Quiet surroundings Beautiful environment Friendly and helpful staff Lovely room
Accessible to Pacific Grove, coastline and Monterey. Free WiFi Mini Fridge
The blanket on the bed was very strange. I found it scary. The material the blanket was made from was unbecoming. More channels were needed on the cable package.
Very friendly staff and the room was beautifully decorated and updated.
The shower stall in room 403 had cracks in it and needs to be replaced
It was unexpected. The rooms are smartly appointed and Pacific Grove was wonderful. We had initially planned to spend out time in Monterrey but the restaurants right down the street from the hotel were amazing and the waterfront is nearby so we mostly stayed put. Would definitely stay again.
The only complaint is that it took about 45min to get an ironing board. Other than that, no complaints.
Quiet neighborhood, good bed, large shower
Exhaust fan was connected to the bathroom light and was exceptionally noisy, the shower handle was about to fall off, parking spaces were tiny
Staff very accommodating and responsive to request for minor repair. Offered a better room at same price.
Decor rather depressing, with dark italienate furniture and colors. TV remote did not work, coffee equipment was set up with sugar and spoons - but no coffee. Blinds had missing slats - not great for privacy.
